Julie Bergeron is a visual artist and educator who has been creating art for her entire life. For over a decade, Julie has developed and managed arts programs in Hartford’s public and private schools, as well as non-profit organizations.
Julie’s career focuses primarily on youth development and art consultation, where she uses creativity as a vehicle for teaching. Her experience includes school and community-based programs that provide meaningful enrichment options to serve our community’s young people. Julie currently serves as the Opportunity Youth Program Manager for Forge City Works of Hartford, fusing her love of youth development and culinary arts.
Julie’s work includes a variety of murals throughout Hartford, including the 40’ Hartford Mobile Market. Julie had also begun an entrepreneurial ceramic studio for Hartford youth, inspired by her own passion for pottery. Julie’s work includes team-building facilitation, community engagement, and group work aimed at identifying workplace readiness skills, coping mechanisms, and challenging cultural values and assumptions.
Julie is a Windsor resident, world traveler, decent cook, and graduate of the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford. She holds a B.A. in Painting, with a minor in Art History.
